| Career Overview |
| | Dr. Sangeeta Agrawal underwent training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from 1990 to 1993 in Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, both of these are premier institutes for training in India. She obtained the M.D., D.G.O. and DNBE. In 1994 She went to U.K. and worked in various hospitals in London viz. Royal London, St. Bartholomew’s, North Middlesex and Barnet General. Royal London and St. Bartholomew’s are teaching hospitals and tertiary care centers. Besides, doing the routine Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr. Sangeeta Agrawal worked in specialized clinics such as medical high-risk pregnancy, colposcopy, menopause, oncology and laparoscopic surgery. She obtained the MRCOG. After returning from U.K. in 1999, she started practice in India. |

| | At present, Dr. Sangeeta is engaged in private practice. She is a Consultant at the prestigious Bombay Hospital, which is an 830-bedded tertiary referral center. She has her own clinic in Prabhadevi Mumbai, which is centrally located and is also a visiting consultant at the Abhishek Day Care Center in Cooperage. Her areas of expertise are Obstetrics and Gynaecology, involving Teenage care, Antenatal, Intrapartum, Post-natal care, Painless labour, Fertility control, Menopause management and basic Infertility, Endoscopic (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) surgery. Gyne-oncology Colposcopy and Gyne-urology work-up and management. She has the facilities to do all Out Patient Procedures at the clinics. |

| | 1. Study of the effect of Phytoestrogens on the symptoms of menopause. This randomized double blind placebo controlled study was conducted at Babasaheb Ambedkar Railway hospital. The results have been published in Bombay hospital Journal. The paper also won the young scientist award at the Asia Pacific menopause conference held in Thailand in year 2003 2. Study of the effect of Tibolone on the cardiovascular risk factors in menopausal women. This randomized double blind placebo controlled study was conducted at Sir HN Hospital Mumbai. The results have not been published but have been presented at various forums. |

| | Dr. Sangeeta Agrawal has an aptitude for teaching and has been doing so with passion. As a consultant at the Bombay hospital she has been teaching - Undergraduate students from the United Arab Emirates - Post graduate students for MD DNB and DGO. She also conducts regular CME for the Post graduate students in the department. | | Dr. Sangeeta is actively engaged in health education for the public. She has given lectures on the subject of Menopause in various women’s organization on more than 20 occasions and managed to reach at least one thousand women. Sha has conducted osteoporosis detection camps during which at least 400 women have been screened. Under the aegis of the Family Planning Association of India, she has conducted training workshops for doctors of Agra, Kanpur and Lucknow in the use of Depo-provera with the aim of promoting contraceptive use in India especially in Uttar Pradesh. |
